At the top of President Romney’s to-do list: ticks

Folks, I may have to vote for Romney after all. It turns out that he is the only presidential candidate taking on the scourge of ticks here in Virginia:

As Tim Murphy at Mother Jones observes with admirable restraint:

I won’t pretend that I know exactly what the Romney campaign is doing here, except to note that it’s tough to micro-target any deeper than a mailer talking about ticks.

Frankly, I think this is a winning strategy. If Romney comes up with a plan to do something about chiggers too, I may have to volunteer for his campaign.

    My oldest also has (chronic) Lyme Disease, as does my dad. I am still not voting for either fool.
