Easter/Passover open thread

This makes me laugh:

Okay, so people like our commenter Jay will not think this is funny, but I think it’s funny. From Texts From Hillary via Mediaite via Tennessee Guerilla Women.

As for the holidays, happy Passover! Sometime I will tell you all the story of the first seder I went to and how I made a complete fool of myself as an ignorant shiksa.

Today I am baking a bunny cake for Easter. One of my prize possessions is a Wilton bunny mold cake pan. I love this pan; it works perfectly. Fill it with batter, tie the two halves together, bake for 45 minutes, and voilà! The batter fills up the mold and makes a bunny. I frost it with colored coconut icing, make the eyes and nose with jelly beans, and pin a pink ribbon on the neck. Then I use green food coloring on the leftover coconut to make a grass bed for the bunny to sit on. It is completely ridiculous.

Do you think the Augusta Golf Club will allow Virginia Rometty (the IBM CEO) to join?

Also, here’s a petition asking Facebook to appoint at least one woman to its currently all-male board before the company goes public in the coming weeks:

I love this. I posted it to my FB page! Takes a lot of attitude to wear shades on a plane!

I know, Darren, I thought that was hilarious. She needs shades on that C-17?
