It’s kinda sad about Davy Jones.
That’s all I have to say.
Adrienne in CA says:
I was ga-ga for Davy Jones. Gone too soon.
tinfoil hattie says:
I watched reruns of the TV show when I was a kid, thought it was The Cool when I was 8. Mr. Jones and his buddies made a lot of people happy, so bless him. The other guy, you know, sorry anyone’s dead and passes out of Life’s Rich Pageant, but he really did make the world a far more vile place when he was here. Can’t say I’ll mourn him at all, which probably makes me a bad person.
The Monkees Greatest Hits album was the first one that I bought with my own money. I wore it out.
Davy will be missed.
Count me as a member of the Davy Jones Heartthrob Brigade. He was adorable. Unlike Breitbart, he was too busy singing to put anybody down. An honorable man.
I now live in France and found myself explaining to my Kabyle and Burkinabé colleagues who the Monkees were, going to so far as to perform an a capella duet of the Monkees theme with my other American colleague. Changing perceptions of Americans, one bemused onlooker at a time.
Davy Jones: Rest in Peace.
As for Brietbart, I feel the same as I did about the death of Christopher Hitchens-I’m sorry that he died and glad that he’s gone.
Brietbart worked very hard to make Americans dumber and poorer and the world is better off without him.
