I may have to resort to posting kitten pictures
I’m sorry, folks. It’s not that I don’t care. I do. It’s just that I’m so busy right now with my real-life job as a real-life feminist that I’m having trouble carving out the time to write posts as an imaginary spirit being who lives in a Smoking Lounge and plays Nerf ball with God.
I know, I know. Libya. Japan. Egypt. Sexism from the right, sexism from the left. Gang rape as a fun youth activity. The GOP war on labor. The GOP war on women. The GOP war on poor people. On and on.
You know who cheers me up? Anthony Weiner. I want him to be President. Or rather, I want somebody like him to be President: unabashedly liberal, straight-talking, fearless. An actual champion for progressive policies.
What would be even better would be a woman with that kind of chutzpah. Anybody?

Oh look it’s a hover board! Most people probably refer to them as bichon fris, but I know they’re really alien hover boards from outer space here to steal our vast supply of cute dog toys.

Does that imply that your views on feminism will now reach a broader audience then? A girl can dream; and hope. ;)
All the best, whatever it is you’re “up to”!

Nessum, that would be telling.

Slow loris! Incredibly cute. Not as good as puppies though.

Toonces says:
Yep, puppies pretty much trump all on cute.
How about an amazing young woman?

Excellent rant from Echidne:

That is an exceptionally cute picture. Kitties next, please.
I miss your posts, and am always glad to see a new one, whether it’s ponies in Iceland, puppies, kitties, or another devastatingly accurate take-down of the latest excretion of the patriarchy.

Counterpunch’s decision to celebrate International Women’s Day by publishing that piece linked to by Echidne made me regret that they had to waste the amazing Tim White “Open Letter to Feminists” piece back in 2008 rather than saving it for Women’s Suffrage Day.

Yes–what cellocat just said. I check for posts here all of the time. All the best to your non-internet endeavors, though!!

There is a Draft Hillary campaign starting up. I am determined to write her name in in our state primary, regardless of whether it gets counted or not.
Btw, I made my first (silly) poll here:

And some wonderful cat pictures with Liz Taylor that a reader over at crayfisher shared.

I voted in your poll. Also, those pictures of Liz are great. Is that really her eating the sandwich? I was trying to identify the movie from her costume but couldn’t.
-
LandOLincoln says:
Yes, that’s definitely her with the sandwich and the black kittie, but I don’t think that’s a costume, it’s a white bathrobe she’s slipped off her shoulders, and it looks like she’s sitting on the steps of her trailer.
I think the only way to identify the movie is by her very short haircut, but IMO it would have been one of the earlier films since she looks to be in her late teens/early twenties.

Of course it’s a white bathrobe. The costume (or whatever it is) is underneath. See the one-shoulder teal green thing? That’s what I’m talking about. Could be a bathing suit.

Violet,
I know you have a real life, but just want to say
I miss you! The radical feminist blogs are almost gone…. -

Without the ears and tail, that dog could pass for a seal. Though, realistically, I doubt if there’s much call for that sort of thing.
