Maybe they think nobody’s home
Governor Brewer is upset about how the news of the pending suit was handled:
It does seem a little weird the way it was handled. But given the way Arizona has been acting, maybe the White House didn’t think there were any responsible adults at home to take the call.
Needless to say, I’m extremely glad that the Justice Department is going to sue their crazy asses. Not only is the Arizona law egregiously unconstitutional, but citizenship and immigration are federal issues. I realize that the Republicans in Arizona are off in some kind of drug-induced fascist cowboy psychosis, but they need to rein it the fuck in.

If it were about any other issue, maybe I’d care that she didn’t get the regular notice.
However, because she is opposed to my existence and has signed/sponsored a bunch of crazy racist laws written by neo-Nazi friendly legislators, I’m not going to be fussed about her indignation.

Sheer poetry, RL. I escaped that state last summer (after 33 years), and it just keeps getting weirder. And it was weird, for all those years.
Of practical necessity, many of those kooks were/are my friends… in all fairness they are in an incredible bubble, with one-way mirrored glass. Very hard to see out of. I had mighty battles, but alas…
