We plan to visit our daughter in Panama City Beach at the end of the month. St. Andrews beach is beautiful and we usually spend many days there. So far, they say the oil hasn’t hit the area. But, in my gut, I know it’s only a matter of time. Tragic. It’s tragic what has been done to these beautiful areas, the environment and the people who live there. BP should have to pay not only for the clean up but for putting the residents lives back together. And the CEOs should go to jail. If what they’ve done isn’t a crime it sure as hell should be.

If only we had a leadership strong and courageous enough to take this as an opportunity to really make changes in our energy policy, regulation of industry, etc. One incredibly sickening aspect is that you know that even this won’t change our ways. We’re still drilling. We’re not going to stop. The Atlantis rig hasn’t been shut down, and won’t be, until it, too, blows up.

There is no way to repay anyone or anything. This is pure and simple devastation. Here are the wildlife stats, detailing the birds, sea turtles, sea mammals & other reptiles found: http://www.deepwaterhorizonres.....653839.pdf This doesn’t count those not found, nor the fish and invertebrates killed or contaminated. Fishing along the Gulf Coast, especially Louisiana, Alabama, Mississipi & probably Florida is dead for at least a human generation, at best. In most cases, the damage done can’t be repaired, let alone repaid. Putting people in jail won’t solve the problem. Business as usual must change. Corporations making and breaking the rules must end. The health and well being of average citizens and the planet must be the driving force behind how things are done, the regulations and laws. That’s a fairy tale I’d like to see come true. It starts with all of us voting with our pocketbooks and making greener choices because, after all, it’s about money. Educated & caring consumers are the biggest threat to business as usual.

why is the plan still about “capturing the flow” rather than STOPPING it???
These evil creeps are still making $$ off this disaster that’s ruining us.
O needs to take them out of the equation, STAT.

Problem with that is that O = BP.
