Thank God he’s pure enough to lay the wreath

That’s what I thought when I saw today’s picture of the O-man at Arlington National Cemetery. I was remembering the campaign last year, when Obama’s team organized a conference call with reporters to argue that because Hillary Clinton had mis-remembered the details of her Bosnia trip, she would be unfit to perform this ceremony as president. “She will lack the moral authority to lay the wreath on Memorial Day,” was the spiel.
Thank God the O-man has never made a mistake about anything or even told a fib. Aren’t we lucky to have such a pure saint as president?

gawd, Major General Stewart’s statement about Hillary’s lack of moral authority is self-righteous. On the Bosnia trip, there were two landings and Hillary made a mistake at naming which landing she and her crew actually were under sniper fire.
Many of the blogs I read, like yours, keep me abreast of past events that I have forgotten, or never known, about. It’s my belief that too many Americans don’t take the time to become informed, and to question some reporting on a regular basis so as to be an educated citizen.
Hillary made a mistake, that’s all. But now for 0bama’s “moral authority”, don’t make me laugh!

The double standard is alive and well:
The second point, very quickly, Lou, is the double standard. We had this tremendous media frenzy, because I believe she made an honest mistake where news reporters at the time described and this is from the “Charleston Gazette” at the time in Bosnia that there were snipers protecting the first lady in a combat zone. She made an honest mistake when she said she was fired upon and we had two days or three days of media frenzy.
Now in the last three days we had Barack Obama on the front page of “The Post” yesterday where he misrepresented his father coming over to America through the use of Kennedy money. We have him taking credit for an immigration bill which he actually according to Senator Dodd had very little to do with. We have him saying that he didn’t know that Rezko was involved in wrongdoing…

April 19, 2009 on my blog:
Obama and the MSM keep bringing up Bosnia to impugn Clinton’s character. Character assassination and Republican talking points have been big part of his strategy. Remember all the years Republicans called the Clintons liars? They never found anything but it cost taxpayers 100 million dollars. Every time Obama mentions Bosnia, Clinton supporters should post this link from TalkLeft:
Obama’s Other Nine Exaggerations
1. Obama claimed credit for nuclear leak legislation that never passed.
2. Obama misspoke about his being conceived because of Selma.
3. Sen. Obama took too much credit for his community organizing efforts.
4. Obama’s assertion that nobody had indications Rezko was engaging in wrongdoing ’strains credulity.’ “
5. Obama was forced to revise his assertion that lobbyists ‘won’t work in my White House.’
6. ‘Selective, embellished and out-of-context quotes from newspapers pump up Obama’s health plan.’
7. Sen. Obama said ‘I passed a law that put Illinois on a path to universal coverage,’ but Obama health care legislation merely set up a task force.
8. ‘Obama…seemed to exaggerate the legislative progress he made’ on ethics reform.
9. Obama drastically overstated Kansas tornado deaths during campaign appearance. -

The “big” lie was that anti-Iraq War speech which the staging of can be read about here:

which I’ve read for the first time today.

What irritates me is Obama’s (and his staff’s) self righteousness. Fine, you’re a sleazy, lying politician who’s never accomplished anything in his life and uses every dirty, underhanded tactic in the book. Own it. I’m not saying you have to stand up and bellow it at the top of your lungs, but at least have the decency to not wrap yourself in the banner of moral integrity. I don’t understand how Elmer Gantry stands there looking out at the Moron Sea without laughing in their faces or feeling pangs of conscience.

What is it with the pissy look on Obama’s face? Did it cut into his daily workout? Talk about shades of Bush Jr.
Not only is there no evidence that he actually gave an anti-war speech in 2002, there’s no evidence I’ve ever seen that Obama ever did any selfless thing for another human being in his life. The “community organizing” doesn’t count, which was a baby step on his political career, and apparently a case of the oh-so-smart college grad condescending to help the ignorant savages, I mean, those poor inner city folks.
There’s one thing I truly have come to hate about Memorial Day – the glorification of war and the idea that military service is the best and only way to serve one’s country. Give me heroes like Harriet Tubman and Margaret Sanger, people who braved violence and embraced poverty to teach the disadvantaged in places like the rural south, Appalachia and Indian reservations, doctors who run clinics for the poor, and union organizers who braved company goons to fight for decent pay and working conditions.
No disrespect meant for people like my should-have-been brother-in-law, who like Dick Cheney had better things to do, but ended up getting shredded by shrapnel in the hills around Khe Sahn.

If you add the Kennedy and immigration lies from the first quote, we can assume race trumps gender 11 to 1.
It’s fun to go through the evidence on my blog now that we’ve been proven right:
Obama Employs Republican Style PlaybookWho said Hillary Clinton is “literally willing to do anything to win.”
Who said Hillary Clinton is attempting to “deceive the American people.”
Who claimed Hillary Clinton has a secret 20-year plan to become president.
Who said Hillary Clinton is “making the run for the best actress nomination”
Who called Hillary Clinton a calculating, poll-tested, divisive figure.
Who called Hillary Clinton “one of the most secretive politicians in America.”
Who said Hillary Clinton’s campaign is “playing politics with war.”
Who said John McCain is seen as more honest and trustworthy than Hillary Clinton.
Who called Hillary Clinton dishonest.
Who said Hillary Clinton is “overbearing and scary.”
Who referred to Hillary Clinton as “a monster.”
Who said Hillary Clinton is “not being straight with the American people.”
Who said of Hillary, “The American people are not going to elect a president that they do not trust.”
Who claimed Hillary Clinton “consistently” and “deliberately” misleads the American people.ANSWER: The Obama Campaign
Finally: “We’ve been very measured in terms of how we talk about Senator Clinton.” –Barack Obama

The double standard is huge. I remember Hillary pointing out that she had visited 80 countries as first lady. The Obama machine and the media dismissed it as nothing but holding tea parties. Ahh, but just yesterday they proclaim Obama is really intelligent and informed about all things Pakistan since he visited there once while in college.

Politicians frequently lie but, when I was young, they were held accountable when the lies were discovered. What will always puzzle me is how so many Americans either ignored or justified Obama’s lies. What was, or is, missing in the American psyche that someone like Obama could be elected President? What need is Obama filling (for some that is)?
