Plan for Wednesday: think about alpacas
Then we get back to work.

And what will that work be? I believe we can take it as a given that Messr. Obama’s first order of business will be to do his best to eradicate all Clinton power bases for a primary challenge in 2012. Heretics are always prosecuted more harshly than heathens, and all that. So will you be trying your best to combat that? Or, now that McCain has left the Republicans with no obvious standard bearer for the next election, will you be trying to help rehabilitate Sarah Palin for a 2012 shot? Or what?

I can’t do alpaca thoughts tomorrow. I have to write 10,000 words of a novel because I am totally behind in my count.
I’m with you, though, on the work.

I think that alpaca is the only thing that has cheered me up in weeks. My beloved husband asked me tonight if I’d really be more happy if McCain had won. Yes, yes, I would. With McCain, we could rescue the party in four years. With Obama, we’re fucked for eight.
Narcissists always leave a wake of chaos in their trail. Don the life jackets. It’s gonna be rough.
Interesting to see Prop 8 pass in California. I bet gay Obots are really freaked out, because a solid chunk of Obama’s supporters voted for it. I got several calls from Bill Clinton to vote against it, but not a one from Obama. Of course, he was on tv with the pro-Prop 8 folks talking about how marriage is between a man and a women, so i guess he did take some kind of stand…albeit not the liberal one.
Any bets on how long Title IX will stand? -

Obama’s old teacher? Or someone? From Harvard Law was on The Daily Show talking about how he had always thought Obama was a Republican, and made a crack about “maybe he still is”. And I was like, this man knows what he is talking about.

The bete noir of liberal men? It’ll be gone on day one.

You’re fucked for a lot more than eight. Commentators here are pointing out that Obama has a lot of money left over from his campaign. He’s going to using it to build up his grass-roots machine, which will be around a lot longer than he will (assuming he can bear to give up the power rush in 2016) There’s a Movement being grown, and one thing we already know about it is that it is misogynistic. Also homophobic. Did you know the supporters of California’s “Prop 8″ canvassed with a sound bite of Obama saying “marriage is between a man and a woman”? Those lesbians and feminists who adore The One will see they have paid a high – if ever they take off their rose-tinted spectacles.

Is it ok if I post this here? I had a strange dream last night and want to share.
Last night I went to bed early, no tv, not knowing what the result would be.
Then I dreamed that I was at a meeting where Palin was saying goodbye. I asked her if she wanted to come visit (and maybe go shopping together) and she said sure, and I was excited about it. Then I went and met John McCain and gave him a hug, feeling so sad (in my dream knowing he had lost) and somehow he was the one giving me strength and comfort.
When I woke up the news was all about Obama’s historic win, and I watched it in sadness and apprehension and a feeling of isolation. I am happy to see others happy, I hope that their dreams come true, I hope that I will be proved wrong.
And still, with the best intentions in their hearts, I fear that America knows not what it has wrought.
I feel so alone, like a Cassandra. And sorry for posting this same comment on several blogs, but I think it’s just that I need to feel not so alone. God. -

To those worrying about Permanent B0: don’t. The next few years are going to be recession / depression, wars, possibly House of Saud falling, and similar “challenges.” Dealing with it, we’ll have an arrogant, failed community organizer. It’s possible that he’ll turn out to be good at Presidenting. Since he’s done next to nothing except run for Prez, there’s no proof that it’s impossible. But the smart money wouldn’t be on it.
Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Congress turn over to Repubs again in 2010 after the likely crashing let-down of the next year. And I’d be willing to put money on the bet that we’ve just ensured at least eight years of Repubs after 2012.

Sorry to keep reminding but my arrogant opinion is that it hasn’t sunk in yet. A solution will only solve a problem when the origninal source of that problem is indentified.
Perhaps asking a different question will help pinpoint the direction our enquiries need to go. Is the problem really Obama? He’s more insidious and vindictive than most, this is true, but it seems to me that the real problem right now is that most young women (and many older women) do not want to acknowledge even to themselves how deep the sexism goes.
They must first perceive the action as sexism before they realize that the actor is sexist. Most of what I think is sexism in western countries nowadays is perceived by the vast majority as simply “genuine differences in gender”. Of course females don’t mind being groomed as fuckbots from birth, that’s just how women are!
Apologies if I’m an ass pushing my own agenda…

And racist against whites. Racism, sexism and homophobia that can be traced to the Obama’s church. We need to ramp up our efforts against racism, sexism and homophobia.

Save me lace next to you in line.
At least we shall be shot by the same firing squad.
And what I said about your screen name- it reminds me of superheroes for some reason.
Best regards,
