According to a listserv I’m on, within 24 hours that video became the top political video on YouTube and by nightfall had made it to the cover of Newsday.
A lot of women are fed up.

People don’t see it…how don’t they see it?
I might be the biggest opponent of identity-politics this far on the Left, but it seems perfectly evident that people just assume that a woman who scraps is a “turnoff”, with the reason being the fact of her scrappiness, but the fact of her vagina.
We can only hope this comes back on these people when their mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, or they themselves try to act in the public sphere and get eviscerated for being who they are.

just watched this and even cynical old me got into it. i think too late for beloved mr heston the argument for removing all gun control has been settled. i mean somebody has to shoot those dumb fucks at the start of the video. probably run out of bullets though.
you put the verbal and visual images of hate against hill together and it’s not too hard to see what’s going on. -

i think this video seems powerful when the clips are lumped together but in real life it is mostly accurate but chris matthews has been a jerk to her.
