Nope, nothing to do with gender at all

By The Ghost of Violet · Friday, February 15th, 2008 ·

Rush Limbaugh’s latest on Hillary:

It’s — a lot of it’s attitudinal — she just — she reminds men of the worst characteristics of women they’ve encountered over their life: totally controlling, not soft and cuddly. Not sympathetic. Not patient. Not understanding. Demanding, domineering, Nurse Ratched kind of thing. Everything you do, you have to do behind her back, that kind of — and then, after all of that, with Mrs. Clinton with this — the characteristics I just described — with the flick of a light switch, all of a sudden, she’s a victim of evil men and bad Republicans and she starts crying and she wants sympathy. She’s a classic manipulator.

And this after a long freestyle screed on Hillary’s “testicle lockbox” and how many testicles it will hold.

Allow me to remind you that just hours ago we were considering the sad case of Erin the Queen of Idiocracy Spain, a woman who is so delusional that she’s convinced herself that gender has nothing to do with people’s attitude towards Hillary. Nothing.

Where are these drugs? I want them!

Good luck prying them out of Limbaugh’s hands.

    not soft and cuddly

Is she a teddy bear or a person?

Demanding, domineering, Nurse Ratched kind of thing.

Dammit, we need a strong leader, someone who can take control and stand up to the terrorists. So if you’re tough enough for the challenge then step on up, but please make sure you aren’t a woman because then you’re just a bitch.

The fact that Limbaugh is still on the air is proof that our country is full of a bunch of dumbshits and shit-for-brains.

“Everything you do, you have to do behind her back” — says it all. Apparently, a woman’s role is to be an apologist for male frailty.

Also if I read one more time that Obama “voted against the war” I’m gonna barf. He was sworn into the Senate in January of 2005.

The war was already well underway by then!!! ANd we already knew it was a disaster!

Why is it that women are persistently held to a completely different set of standards than men when being assessed for their competence to hold any job??? (Yes, I do know the answer, sadly.) Let’s see, is the Shrub - what was it - “soft and cuddly . . . sympathetic . . . patient . . . understanding”. Oh, wait, we’re talking about qualities we want in a world leader, aren’t we? Whereas this dickwit is looking for his mommy in every female he encounters.

Ok, so qualities the Chimp in Chief does possess are: “totally controlling . . . demanding, domineering” - yeah, still not qualities I would look for in the so-called leader of the ‘free’ world. But why is it that when a woman possesses the very same qualities that are expected of men in leadership roles, somehow she morphs into the Bad Mommy, the Evil Shrew?

Do men seriously not perceive the idiocy of this double-speak, double-think, double bind? Of course they do, and they don’t care. Anything that keeps us so tied in knots as to prevent us ever sharing center stage works fine for these morons. The only choices these one-eyed wonders see for women is to wipe D00dz entitled *ss or kiss it.

but that cartoon was about her being all over-sensitive and just so damn female!

does the woman want it all?

  8. Gogol says:

Wow. Coincidentally, those characteristics listed also belonged to all the worst men I’ve ever met. And many that I haven’t met.

    AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
Did they hear me over at Diebold?
    Where is the re-count?!
Here so many male pundits yell ‘fraud’ when HC wins - I do not believe that BO won in Wisconsin.
    I want a re-count.

Yesterday I had to convince a man that HC was actually a lawyer and has served more years in the Senate than BO. He stomped his foot and swore up and down that she never passed the Bar….
Oh, the American media - how dumb can you make your own people?

Get me a ticket to Mexico.

Try Canada. Yes, it’s much colder, but Canadians are awesome, despite their propensity to say “eh.” Plus, they have national health care, and isn’t the Canadian dollar stronger than the U.S. dollar?

    Virginia, thanks for the site.
    This is really weird.
I know we need more spirituality in America, the land of science and materialism….but not like this.
The best thing I read about BO was in NYC indymedia.
It said something like, “beware of a candidate who doesn’t talk about race and poverty. who doesn’t even use the word black to describe the color of his pants. ”
I think it’s so naive of anyone to expect that he will support social justice and change, just because the rallies are heated, he’s a good speaker and there’s this aura of joy around him.
Reminds me of some guru who had 100 Mercedes (or was it BMW’s?).
I swear Americans love to close their eyes and follow whoever is popular. We do have brains, you know, like all other human beings. We just don’t use them very much.
