    Hmmm, I don’t.

  2. The Ghost of Violet says:

    Really, you don’t like it?

I think I saw it at tigtog’s, and over at Twisty’s board about six people were posting it simultaneously. I find it kind of gratifying.

  3. therealUK says:

I think it’s the third panel that spoils it – “hey I’m a niceguyliberaldood and I want hotliberalchick action – so I want you more obvious thugs to stop messing it for us smoothies”

A reaction I’ll call “Buffy tVS syndrome”, where something’s actually vaguely better than all the other misogynistic crap, but the underlying currents are still there.

Maybe an overly cynical interpretation though.

  4. The Ghost of Violet says:

Maybe it turns on how one reads the phrase “likes nerdy girls.” Your intepretation makes sense, but one could also read it as I did (he thinks nerdy girls are human and is mad that they’re being harassed).

All in all, it would have been better if it had been Hothead Paisan.

  5. B. Dagger Lee says:

    Let’s pretend it’s a big old dyke in a pork-pie hat.

  6. B. Dagger Lee says:

Like me, only I would never wear such a hat.

  7. Paul Tergeist says:

Like me, only I would never wear such a hat.

    Oh, shut up!

I have been wanting to say that to someone for several days now but if I say it to my roommate, she will slap the dogshit out of me. Does anyone live in the boonies of Washington, N. Oregon or Idaho and want a roomie? I gotta get out of here.

  8. The Ghost of Violet says:

    Are you still in Hawaii?

  9. The Ghost of Violet says:

and by the way, Ether Lord — please don’t be offended at Paul’s telling you to shut up. He’s insane, really, and also suffers from Tourette’s. Don’t take it personally.

  10. B. Dagger Lee says:

Oh, I always begin with the assumption that someone is an insane child, until they prove otherwise.

  11. Chris says:

    Mmmmmm pork pie.
