Justice, Republican-style: You can’t sue unless you’ve already won your lawsuit
A federal appeals court has ruled that people can’t sue the Bush administration for illegally wiretapping them because without having already proven that they were harmed by being illegally wiretapped, they don’t have standing to sue.
Got that?
No, of course it doesn’t make sense. Here’s what makes sense: the judges who delivered this ruling are Republican appointees. Nothing like having most of the federal judgships in your pocket.

It makes sense. I would be willing to tie the hands of people trying sincerly to stop maniacs from blowing up innocents. I’ve never been touched by terrorists. In my world terrorists are news reports. In a world like this, where killing at a political level, at a national and global ideological level exist- and it does, or so I am told, I want quick action, I want protection, I don’t want inaction, I want results. If, and I know If a cow shit butter you wouldn’t have to churn, but if it comes down to having a single person elected by the majority to have the power, unbridled, and I’m sorry it is George W. Bush, but if it comes to that then kill the muther fuckers who blow themselves up before they touch me. That being said, and knowing the plethora of info already gleaned by Karl Rove from the laxed oversight and due process to advance godbag agendas and consolidation of godbag power, should I say let’s get back to Habeas Corpus and rule of law just when the chances of having those sweeping powers could be in the hands of those I agree with, or should no one group ever have that kind of carte blanche on my human rights?
