Terri Herring spells it out for you

By · Saturday, March 18th, 2006 · 16 Comments »

Terri Herring is the president of Pro-Life Mississippi, and she’s just heart-broken that the state’s new abortion ban will allow exceptions in the case of rape and incest:

“I think it’s our responsibility to have a pure pro-life message that has to be you don’t kill a child for the crime of his father,” Herring said.

Ah yes, the miracle of life: a father and his child.

Father and Child

P.S. I posted this the first time with the wrong picture, because I’m blind. Sorry.

  1. Pastor Pistle says:

Quite right. NO EXCEPTIONS! life begins at birth for every animal but GOD’s children. For us it begins at conception. Why aren’t women prosecuted for murder in cases of stillborn babies or natural abortions? An oversight WE WILL CORRECT!

  2. Pastor Pistle says:

Socks, Terri Herring is just plain wrong and
    Deuteronomy 23:2 says so.

1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:

4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

8 The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

9 When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

10 If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

11 But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

12 Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:

13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

14 For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

15 Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:

16 He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.

17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

19 Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

20 Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

21 When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

22 But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

23 That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

24 When thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

25 When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour’s standing corn.

I have to say that if you think abortion is murder, I wouldnt think that you should make exceptions for rape. It isnt less a murder due the method of conception.

  4. Violet says:

But I don’t believe they really do think it’s murder. They say they do, but that’s bullshit. They don’t really believe an embryo is a person. What’s that lab fire analogy? Imagine a fertility clinic is on fire, and you have to choose between saving a 2-year-old child and a petrie dish with 5 embryos. Can you imagine any anti-abortion nut saying they would save the petrie dish? But logically, if an embryo is a person and killing it is murder, then they should go for the opportunity to save 5 persons instead of the one.

  5. will says:

Well, I think that they are all crazy anyway. But, if they truly did believe it, then they should be consistent.

  6. Violet says:

Actually, I think the real deal is that if the lab fire analogy forced a choice between saving a grown woman and saving 5 embryos in a petrie dish, the anti-abortion nuts would have no problem at all choosing the dish.

  7. will says:

A frequent protestor in these parts lost custody of her children due to neglect and craziness. They do not care about children so much as they care about self-rightousness and control.

  8. Pastor Pistle says:

In ANY logical sense a person or anything else is delivered as a live entity into the world when they are born in a sufficient physical state that they can stay alive with only the ministrations of the mother, which basically means food and warmth.

Even the Bible, GOD’s literal word, Leviticus 27:6 cautions us that babies or fetuses less than one month old are worth nothing at all. Even up to the age of five years kids are still almost worthless.

“And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.”

So even with inflation through 2005, figure a $50 fine for a boy and $30 for a girl if you accidentally drop one down a well. It really doesn’t specify that you can’t kill your own kids up to that age if you want to.

  9. Violet says:

Pastor, is that Landover’s position? I mean that it’s okay to have an abortion or drop your newborn down a well.

Will, you mean a godly Christian anti-abortion woman was divorced? Shock!

  10. Burrow says:

    awww how special……*puke*

  11. Pastor Pistle says:

to 9: We are commanded by GOD to obey the laws of the country in which we live. Unfortunately, that means we must obey the secular laws if they conflict with Biblical laws (except the prohibition against witch-burning which we usually get away with).

That is how we can exist peacefully in a free society. Naturally I would never advocate tossing a child down a well. There are numerous local state and federal regulations which forbid the poisoning of wells in America unless you are a huge multinational.

Muslims can’t do that. In order to live in a real country, they must change the laws of that country to fit the Quran. That is why our Godly President GW Bush has been appointed by JESUS HIMSELF to kill all of them and throw their children down wells in Sandistan.

    PRAISE!

If a Christian woman is divorced, she loses custody of any children she might have incubated for her husband.

  12. The Countess says:

Why does Dad look like Mr. Spock?

On a more serious note, these cases this woman is talking about are rape and incest. She would rather put a woman or girl through more suffering, having to have a baby created by a sperm donor rapist or relative? I’m glad there is a rape and incest exemption.

Of course, with the way welfare is now, there will not be enough state money to support all these new babies created by the new rape law. If the bill passes without the exemptions, will the state seek the rapists and relatives who had assaulted the women, getting them pregnant, and demand that they pay child support? These women will never get these horrid men out of their lives.

This bill is horrid on so many levels.

  13. The Countess says:

Oops, sorry – that’s new abortion law, not new rape law. I was busy thinking about the rape exemption.

  14. Pastor Pistle says:

12: “Why does Dad look like Mr. Spock?”
    -Countess

He doesn’t. You are confusing Spock, an imaginary satanic creature with SATAN, a REAL creature.

ATTENTION ALL RAPISTS AND PEDOS: Move to Mississippi and the state will pay your child support during your three years in prison and the next 15 years thereafter. Or become a Muslim. Rape and pederasty aren’t crimes there. And there is no such thing as child support in Iranistan or Sandunia.

  15. gordo says:

    Pastor–

How old does your child have to be in order for its killing to merit a prison sentence? Is five years the correct figure? Is that after conception, or after birth?

Also, does the fine thing apply to anyone who takes or kills a child, or just the parents?

In any case, it’s clear that we’ve lost our way as a nation when we insist on sending God-fearing women like Susan Smith to prison, in direct contradiction of God’s holy word. Two boys=$100, not a life sentence.

  16. Zara says:

What’s really telling there is that it’s a child and “his” father. Could there be any clearer indication of where they put the value here? Hint: it’s not the women…
