Jay Bennish Reinstated
Good news! Jay Bennish has been reinstated at Overland High School. He goes back in the classroom Monday. The official statement from the school district is regrettably weasly, but at least the result is good. Expect a wingnut meltdown.

I’m not so sure you should call it weasly. Although they didn’t exactly jump onto Mr Bennish’s bandwagon, they did support his right to inject a legitimate controversial opinion into his class studies. On top of that, they don’t seem too awfully concerned about the twerp who recorded him and gave it to a wingnut radio radio station, other than to try to help him get back into an institution of learning, even their’s, if he wants, because he really needs it.
It’s not a mandate, but it’s not really weasly.

Test in Bennish class:
Can anyone tell me why then Governor Bush in his debates with President Clinton pressed a policy of “no nation building” concerning the Balkans?
A. Because his father stopped short of ousting Saddam?
B. Because he though an isolationist stance would appeal to weary american voters?
C. Because there was a short in his earpiece?
D. All of the above. -

Jeff, I thought the statement was weasly because they said that while Bennish shouldn’t be fired, he also shouldn’t be commended. I rather think he should be commended. It just seemed a lot of hedging — controversy in class is good, but we must be fair and Mr. Bennish still needs to improve in that area, yadeyadeyade.
But I’m not really complaining — they reinstated him and as far as I can tell he’s not been formally censured. It’s an excellent result. And the weasly talk is probably the best we can expect from a Colorado school board that’s trying to soothe ruffled feathers.

Pastor Al E Pistle says:
Anyone who derogates about a sitting President, especially one appointed by GOD over the popular vote should be fired from their jobs and forced to sit home collecting unemployment. It’s the American way!

Even a very ungodly, anti-Christian president?

Pastor Al E Pistle says:
Of course not Alon. Anyone who is not appointed by GOD, such as a Demoncrat, a woman (except Godly Ann Coulter),an athiest, or someone elected by the now-defunct idea of a popular vote is to be tarred and feathered, stoned and beheaded. We are the religious right and we intend to take over.

Alon Levy says:
Ann Coulter isn’t fit to lead. As a woman she displays very womanly characteristics, whereas a president must display manly qualities. Women are there to support the leaders, not to be the leaders. Ann Coulter, Phyllis Schlafly, and Laura Schlessinger do their job when they tell people to be good Christians (though the word “Christians” is redundant); they shouldn’t get uppity and demand real power.

Good news!
It is too bad that when wingnuts melt down, as they so often do, it never is a literal melt.

Forget about women with Adam’s apples for a moment and take this test:

Alon, I think you are the probably the first person to accuse Ann Coulter of being womanly. Most of us keep getting distracted by her Adam’s apple and man hands.

Pastor Al E Pistle says:
It’s sad but true. Ann Coulter may be a tranny, or worse.
-
Alon Levy says:
It doesn’t matter - according to the One True God, a man who pretends to be a woman is a sinner, even if he does good works in calling for the death of liberals and other Satanists. Either way, Ann Coulter isn’t fit to lead.
